This blog is for my three amazing boys--all uniquely so--to whom I am proud to be called father. I dedicate this to them with the greatest of admiration.

I'll give you 50 yen if you don't tell on me
So daddy and mommy give Deryk 50 yen and Kenji 100 yen to spend at the flea market. While they're playing, Deryk does something naughty to Kenji and they both come running to us. Kenji informs us that Deryk gave him his 50 yen not to tell on him. But then Deryk says, "no no, I didn't pull his pants down. I promise!" Deryk gets in trouble, and Kenji doesn't get his 50 yen.

The Space Museum
No wonder this was an all-day thing. You wait 1 hour for parking, 1 hour to find each other in the horrendous crowds, 15 minutes in line for every nature call, half-hour to enter into any of the space labs, another hour to get a turn in the astronaut suit, and finally an hour to get out of the parking.
It was a tiring but fun outing--of keeping track of all the kids, getting as many photo's as can possibly be taken, and tearing our hair out to chase the stamps, which none of the kids ended up completing.

The parking lots were jammed packed so we parked our car a kilometer and a half walk away. Der and Fiona got a good leg exercise

Kids intrigued
This was an expensive shot. Fay had to wait in line for 40 minutes
Oh ya, you want a piece of me?
Water rockets
This might have been the event of the day for most of the kids
After the rockets were launched...
...the kids ran after them
...and got a blow-up rocket prize

A 6 degree angle is supposed to give you the space sensation.
